Mission
To promote social/child welfare
programs for physically disabled, orphaned, and marginalized persons. Our
primary focus is on the development of children, girls, and women of all
communities, so they develop all-round character — viz physically,
mentally and spiritually — regain their self respect, and become able
to support themselves and live a life of dignity and respect in the mainstream
of our society.
This is achieved by providing:
A home/shelter — this includes food, clothing, medical care, and
enabling activities such as educational and vocational training.
Arunai Childrens Home is a strictly non-profit organization and all funds
are used exclusively for the benefit of the children.
Scope:
We currently occupy rented quarters in Tiruvannamalai, just a one-minute
walk from Ramanashramam, in which we are housing seven children. Our goal
is a facility in which we can provide permanent shelter and support for
50 disadvantaged children from Tiruvannamalai
We began sending the children to a private school in June.
